Best Installation Practices
| 1. |
Visually inspect and ensure the system is clean and
free of chemical and biological contamination. |
| 2. |
Place insert into a properly sized bucket or net pot
and ensure it is properly seated |
| 3. |
Cycle the system (1) time to ensure media is
saturated |
| 4. |
Place a rooted start or rooted clone into the 1,5"
cutout on the top of the cylinder |
| 5. |
Visually identify that the root mass is located at
the flood level of the system you are using. |
| 6. |
While many flood schedules work with the product, we
encourage the grower to use a "high frequency / short
duration schedule", Plant roots begin to die after 15
minutes of submergence consequently cycle duration
should not exceed that value, Optimum range for mature
plants is between 8 and 12 floods per day at 7 to 5
minutes per flood respectively. |
| 7. |
If using an aeroflo or drip system follow steps 1
through 5. |
Best Growing Practices
| 1. |
If you are using a traditional bucket system ensure
your system drains each bucket completely at the end of
each flood cycle. Many systems allow standing water to
remain in the bottoms of their buckets consequently
leading to root borne disease, damping off and
occasionally death of the plant. |
| 2. |
If using an aeroponic system ensure the sprayers are
providing adequate nutrient flow to the media. |
| 3. |
If using a top drip system position the dripper
stake directly above the central root mass for optimum
results. |
| 4. |
When using a flood table or bucket system carefully
arrange the plants in a manner that will allow mature
plants to receive optimum light and air circulation. |
| 5. |
Maintain constant aeration in your reservoir.
Regardless of media, your nutrient solution should be
continuously aerated to achieve maximum results, This is
one of the most common problems associated with novice
growers.
